About HW Transportation Group

Kiran has been working on our team as far back as the inception of our first division, Canadian Flatbeds Ltd. She has played an instrumental role in the growth of the company. Working with her husband, business partner, and our founder, Harry Wadhwa. As he grew the company truck by truck, she assisted behind the scenes with the administrative tasks.

Even prior to CFL, Kiran was career- and family-focused, having graduated with a BCom in International Business from University of Victoria and working in the financial and software sectors for over 16 years. After Kiran and Harry welcomed their first child, Kiran’s career shifted to CFL, helping Harry grow their family business together, even as their family grew, welcoming 3 more children.

Kiran loves working at HWTG because, while our multi-divisional organization grows steadily, it’s the team – many of whom have been with us since our formative years – that make it a great place to work.

Manpreet joined our Canadian Flatbeds team in April 2016 and has grown to become our Vice President of Operations for CFL. He is a valuable contributor to our team, guiding our operations team as we strategically implement and execute solutions for clients. He attended York University where he graduated with a BA in Psychology.

Although he is afraid of heights, he has been bungee jumping and is looking to give skydiving a try soon!

With over 20 years of IT experience and 6 years in the transportation industry, Farrukh brings valuable experience to our team, managing our internal systems and ensuring that our group of companies stays knowledgeable of innovative and emerging technology.

A fun fact that many may not know about Farrukh? When he was younger, he wanted to be a pilot!

Having been in the transportation industry since 2014 and with our CFL division since July 2018, Lovepreet brings valuable industry experience and knowledge of safety and compliance best practices to the HWTG team. She graduated from Kanya Maha Vidyalaya Jalandhar India with a B.Com Prof. and then completed a diploma in Business HR at Sheridan College.

In her time off, she likes to play badminton, collect different currencies, and enjoys learning new things about different certifications in the transportation industry.

Trucking runs in the family for Deepika, with both of her parents being professional truck drivers! Deepika has grown up in the industry and completed her Business of Administration advanced diploma from Sheridan College and B.A. in Leadership and Contemporary Studies at Wilfrid Laurier University. She too joined the industry professionally, joining our CFL team in 2017, working her way up to our Manager, Inbound Operations.

T.J. moved with his family from beautiful British Columbia to Ontario in 2004, where he was introduced to the transportation industry. After joining Canadian Flatbeds in 2017, from day one, T.J. has been dedicated to growing his expertise in transportation, equipment, dispatch management, and keeping our customers and drivers happy. Since becoming our Manager – Outbound Operations, he has been instrumental in helping ensure that client freight gets safely to its destination.

In his spare time, T.J. loves being active and has been playing Ball Hockey for over 16 years. His passion for the sport has taken him to Budapest, where he represented Team India in the World Juniors.

Salvatore has been in the transportation industry for 23 years.
He started his carrier as a dispatcher, and now he is the terminal manager at Lingnes de Camions Zora.

In his relax time, he likes playing guitar and going fishing.

Tashi joined Canadian Flatbeds in Aug 2022 as an Assistant Controller in the Finance Department and was promoted to the position of Financial Controller in May 2024. He has a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Wyoming, USA. He also completed his accounting designation while working a full-time job, and is a proud member of CPA, and CGA since 2016. He oversees the day-to-day functions of the finance department while working closely with the CFO.

Tashi is a nature lover and fond of going for long hikes in the wilderness with his family whenever time permits.

Satnam has been a key player in the trucking industry for over 20 years. He began his career as an owner-operator, working with CNTL for more than a decade. In 2019, he joined CFL to explore specialized loads, quickly establishing himself as an expert in the field. By 2021, Satnam transitioned to HWTG operations, where his dedication and hard work earned him recognition as a vital member of the organization. He now serves as the Director of Operations for OTTS, overseeing all aspects of its operations.

Beyond his official role, Satnam is known for wearing many hats within the company, always eager to take on the next project or initiative.

Outside of work, Satnam is passionate about cooking and often prepares lavish feasts for his friends, family, and the entire company. Though his busy schedule leaves little time for leisure, he enjoys traveling and never turns down the opportunity for a pint. Satnam is also working on embracing golf, trying to match the enthusiasm of his fellow HWTG colleagues.

Amrita is a valued member of the HWTG family, contributing a wealth of experience and expertise to the team. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Waterloo and spent time in South Korea teaching English before returning to Canada. With a project management diploma under her belt, she joined the trucking industry in 2021 as an Equipment Analyst, quickly rising to the position of Team Lead. In 2024, Amrita brought her expertise to CFL, where she officially serves as our Claims Manager.
She takes on multiple roles, actively contributing to safety and compliance, HR, warehouse management, and various other areas.

Amrita is our continuous improvement engineer, always on the lookout for ways to enhance our operations.

With over 35 years of industry experience, Allan joined CFL as Vice President and has been instrumental in the growth of our specialized division. He has single-handedly developed this division, focusing on over-size and heavy-haul loads, and consistently shares his extensive knowledge with the team. Allan's leadership and expertise have brought in substantial business, contributing to the overall growth and success of the company.

Allan enjoys golf in his free time and has a passion for cars, ATVs, dirt-bikes, and other outdoor activities where he can enjoy the nature.

Tarak joined Canadian Flatbeds in 2023 and as a seasoned Chief Financial Officer with 25 years of extensive experience in finance, Tarak brings a strategic and forward-thinking approach to financial leadership. Known for a robust background in corporate finance, financial planning, risk management, and operational efficiencies, Tarak has driven financial transformations that align with organizational goals and enhance profitability. With a track record of implementing data-driven strategies, optimizing cash flow, and ensuring compliance, Tarak has been instrumental in supporting growth initiatives and shareholder value.
