Wounded Warriors

As a national mental health service for Canadian Veterans, First Responders, and their families, Wounded Warriors offers help to those experiencing struggle with mental and physical trauma.

Their mission is to create an environment of compassion, resiliency, and hope by offering a range of services and support systems including clinically facilitated mental health programs specifically developed to support the unique needs of Veterans, First Responders, and their families.

Toronto Transportation Club Scholarship Fund

We believe that anyone should be able to achieve their dreams and that education to help them get there should be within reach.

We’ve partnered with the Toronto Transportation Club, making substantial annual contributions to their scholarship fund, helping the children of transportation industry professionals afford the education they seek.

Food for Life

Food for Life is founded on the belief that everyone deserves to have access to healthy food. As the largest food rescue organization in Halton and Hamilton, to date they have rescued over 26 million pounds of surplus perishable food by collecting it from retail and wholesale food suppliers and grocery stores, and distributing it to people within the community who cannot afford it.

Unique Home for Girls Jalandhar

Unique Home, as it’s known, is a charitable organization based in India. Through this organization unwanted, unclaimed, or orphan girls are cared for, saved from being disposed of in dumpsters or left on street corners.

The mission of Unique Home is to “raise these children as enlightened and self-respecting citizens”, giving them a brighter future and a better chance at life.

While it is not a Canadian organization, it is a cause that is dear to our founder and CEO, and it is part of our commitment to serve communities both locally and globally.

Harry Wadhwa

Founder

When he was 16, Harry and his family immigrated to Canada. He jumped into the Canadian workforce as a junior dispatcher for a transportation firm in Windsor, Ontario. From there, Harry expanded his career to become an owner operator and experience first-hand the issues that drivers face on the road, passionate about coming up with solutions for them.

Fast forward many years – and many lessons learned – later, and Harry has proactively implemented many innovations into his fleets, revolutionizing both the client and driver experiences in a traditionally reactive industry.

Driven by his belief that everyone deserves a chance for a better life, it’s no surprise that Harry pursued his passion to contribute positively to all those around him – including HW Transportation Group’s staff, driver partners, clients, and our local community.
